Global Climate Change Week [ design ]

Role: Strategic advisor / design consultant

GCCW is an Australian initiated campaign designed to encourage academics globally to support the social movement for stronger action on climate change. By sharing ideas within and across disciplines and engaging more effectively with students, policy-makers, and the wider community the campaign aims to help mobilise urgently needed action at all levels.
I worked as an advisor to the organising team, developing a simple but bold visual branding for the project, along with an interactive website, and advised on campaign strategy.
The website was developed as an information portal where people could find out more about the campaign, and importantly sign on to be involved. A key feature was an interactive map that allowed users to browse and connect with participants and activities in their local area.
In its first year the campaign mobilised over 300 initiatives in 80 countries around the world.
